Mayor to Launch Nashville Film Television Transmedia Council

This afternoon, Mayor Karl Dean will announce the formation of the Nashville Film Television Transmedia Council, a body described as analogous to the Music City Music Council founded in 2009.

Dean's office confirmed to Pith that Dean will appear at a 1 p.m. press conference at the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corporation to make the announcement. More details will be revealed then, but for now a media advisory from the soon-to-be launched council offers some info about who will be involved, after the jump:

The FTT Council is comprised of non-profit organizations, educational institutions, city and state offices related to film and television, who have permanent seats on the Council. Current participants include:
