So, speaking of musicians getting awards. As noted by staffer Adam Gold in his Critic's Pick, the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum at Municipal Auditorium will host their induction ceremony tomorrow, Jan. 28. This year's ceremony will feature the induction of Stevie Ray Vaughan and the Double Trouble, Barbara Mandrell, Buddy Guy, Peter Frampton, Mike Curb and deceased Neil Young steel player Ben Keith, not to mention the presentation of the first-ever Iconic Riff Award to Roy Orbison, and appearances from Young, Billy Gibbons, Brenda Lee and more. And yes, the ceremony will feature some special performances. And I have a spare pair of tickets sitting in my desk drawer. Want 'em?
Considering just how much we've been discussing Neil Young lately — between tomorrow night's ceremony and whatever it is that he and Jack White have been working on — why don't we make ol' Shakey the subject of this here caption contest? Rules are simple: Look at
my life the above photo of Young and dream up the most gut-busting, side-splitting or otherwise enlightening caption you can. Post your caption down in the comments section, and be sure to include your email address in the appropriate field — we won't publish your address, but we'll need it in order to contact our winner. We'll pick our favorite caption tomorrow (day of!), and that caption's author gets the tickets. Be sure to keep an eye on your email and get back to us as soon as possible. All right, everyone ready? Go!
Update: We have a winner. Thanks for playing!
