I’m looking at something so crazy right now. It’s a press release announcing Beyonce’s The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour — the singer’s first full-scale transcontinental jaunt in three years — which befalls Bridgestone Arena July 13.
Anyone who caught SuperBowl XLVII last night (which certainly must be at least some of you) got one helluva 13-minute trailer for Bey’s “bold, state-of-the-art” production during her halftime performance — a dazzling bombardment of fire, holograms, head-banging (perhaps too much head-banging; at one point I caught her doing the ol’ Jason Newsted blender bang), wind-blown curls, pop iconography, tight leather, bright lasers, live singing and children of destiny. Think you can handle that jelly live and in person? Tickets go on sale Friday, Feb. 15, at 10 a.m., here.
