I must say, the above vid for local experimental folk artist Aron Wright's "And Still, the Darkness Comes" is easily the most cinematic and visually striking local music video since Hammock's excellent "Cold Front." "Darkness" was directed by local artist Brent Stewart, who pops up pretty regularly over on our sister blog Country Life, though he was assisted by a slew of Nashvillian filmmaker types — check out the full list of credits here.

"And Still, the Darkness Comes" was featured in a recent episode of Grey's Anatomy — What song hasn't been on Grey's Anatomy by now, am I right? — and you can download it via iTunes here. So. What do those gleaming, hovering, rotating black cubes represent to you? Mortality? I'm going with mortality.
