Perhaps you’ve heard of the fantastic eight-course prix-fixe meal that has Nashville all abuzz. No, not that nifty avian perch in Midtown — we’re talking about the Chinese Arts Alliance of Nashville’s once-in-a-new-year-moon banquet. Sure, the Cool Springs location puts it a bit off the beaten path for most Nashvillians, but it’s well worth the caravan — a fact that will become apparent as soon as you start tucking in to round after delectable round of exquisitely executed seafood, complex soups, tasty vegetables, variously sauced/fried/smothered noodles and whatever else the wizards in the Wild Ginger kitchen dream up. And the table-weaving spectacle of the lion dance provides the clangorous apex to a fun, filling and celebratory night. Seating is limited (see: lion dance) and reservations are required; check chineseartsalliance.org for more information.
