Ghostly yet saccharine, The Milk Carton Kids and their unforgettable harmonies will fill The Belcourt stage for tonight’s sold-out show. On a seemingly endless tour in advance of a new DVD — The Milk Carton Kids Live from Lincoln Theatre, which comes out April 29 — the duo promises mind-massaging guitar progressions along with all the folk qualities you love about Simon & Garfunkel, but without the pan flute. Lyrically, they’re equally mysterious and detailed — open enough to pique interest, but not to give the whole story away. While at first it might be difficult to get past the hip-shaking dramatics of Kenneth Pattengale and his banter with Joe Ryan, the show will inevitably become charming as the two grow on you a little more with every song.
