When: Sat., March 19, 12-10 p.m. 2011
Attention East Siders and fans of locally made and sustainable products (no, the two aren't necessarily mutually inclusive, though I would like to see that Venn Diagram): The Green Wagon, East Nashville's "one-stop earthy-friendly shop" is reopening under new ownership. The reopening will mark the debut of East Side Smiles dental practice owner Dr. Thomas Hadley's craft beer company Nashvillion, along with Aunt April's Bakery and Cafe. The latter specializes in gluten-free treats, while the former specializes in locally brewed beer that we're certain the good doctor will prescribe to be administered to your gullet liberally. There will be live music from Scene fave Majestico, plus Kat Smo, Ben Sturgell, The DanBerrys and more, plus free, all-natural makeovers from Purely Clear Makeup, free workshops from Landscape Solutions, free henna and face-painting, and an appearance from The Grilled Cheeserie food wagon (another Scene fave). While most of the festivities are free, a $10 donation to benefit the Schoolyard Garden Project at the Martha O'Bryan Center Pre-K School and Early Learning Center is requested. Your move, West Siders.
