Southeastern Guild of Book Workers Conference

When: Sun., June 23, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. 2013

Are you a book artist or artisan? Are you a master craftsperson when it comes to all things bound? Would you like to be? Platetone Printmaking, Paper and Book Arts welcomes Sonja Rossow to the first Southeast Guild of Book Workers Conference to be held in Nashville. Rossow is the SEGBW representative to our lovely city, and her appearance at the conference is meant to foster conversation and collaboration among book artists all across the Volunteer State. Rossow will start the day with a short presentation followed by lunch, a brainstorming session and a free book-cloth-making workshop. The conference will give veterans and newbies alike a chance to meet their peers face to face, exchange ideas, show off their scars and get a look at the Platetone headquarters. Participants are encouraged to bring examples of their work and plenty of business cards. They are also encouraged to RSVP to browndogbindery@gmail.com ASAP.
