See How They Run at Chaffin's Barn Dinner Theatre

Limeys and Laughter

Chaffin's Barn Dinner Theatre worries little about the formulaic approach to its shows. If lighthearted fare is served generously with the wide-ranging buffet, and the company’s devoted patrons are digging it, then why mess with a successful menu? They go to the farcical grab bag once again—quickly on the heels of the recent Filthy Rich—with Phillip King’s See How They Run, a wartime British comedy set at a quaint English vicarage. The vicar's wife is a former actress, men impersonate priests, a bishop is caught dressed in his pajamas, plus a nosy neighbor and a strangely silent maid get interrogated by an army sergeant hunting for an escaped POW. Staging the hilarity is frequent guest director Charles Burr, whose cast features no less than three performers from Filthy Rich—Nate Eppler, Dietz Osborne and Erin Parker—plus Stefani Paige, Tammi Whited, Flynt Foster, Lane Wright, Derek Whittaker and local favorite funnyman Eric Tichenor.
Tuesdays-Saturdays, 6 p.m. Starts: Oct. 15. Continues through Nov. 15, 2009
