Since 2008, Bradley Moore’s Music City Theatre Company has mounted occasional productions of new or unconventional scripts, usually those with social relevance. MCTC continues in that tradition with Jon Robin Baitz’s Other Desert Cities, a finalist for the 2012 Pulitzer Prize that has never before been shown to Nashville audiences. Moore directs the drama about an artistic family of actors and writers who have real-life political connections. The plot, in a nutshell: It’s Christmastime 2004, and daughter Brooke, returned home after a divorce and a nervous breakdown, announces she’s publishing a tell-all memoir that will rattle skeletons in the family closet. The cast features Carrie Jennings as Brooke, as well as Terry Occhiogrosso, Rod Streng, Memory Strong and Michael Adcock.
