For architecture aficionados, there is truly something for everyone in Nashville, from stately Foursquares on Belmont Boulevard to the lovingly restored Victorians of East Nashville. But for those who prefer clean lines and sharp angles, it may appear that we lack an abundance of modern residential design. Not so. Modern Home Tours, an Austin-based company that operates in 27 cities across the nation in leading tours that celebrate modern architecture and design, will hold its first Nashville event this Saturday. This self-guided tour spans six hours and will include six to 10 homes. Expect to see a diverse, creative grouping of homes from the East Side to Sylvan Park, from mid-century modern to forward-thinking contemporary design. Tickets ($25 in advance and $30 day of) and location information are available at nashville.modernhometours.com/tickets.
