Infinity Cat Records 10th Anniversary Show feat. Skyblazer, Tristen, Deluxin & Psychic Hotline

When: Fri., July 20, 8 p.m. 2012

It’s a momentous week for local family-run record label Infinity Cat: They’ve got a major-label release just out by their torch-bearing Bogus Bros (aka JEFF the Brotherhood) and are celebrating a decade of DIY with dual birthday shows designed to turn sweat glands into floodgates. Friday night at Exit/In, Jake and Jamin Orrall reunite with former Nashvillian Lindsay “Cake Bake Betty” Powell to form Skyblazer for the first time in years — their record will finally be available, too, on fiery-looking vinyl — joined by the groovy sounds of Deluxin’, Tristen and Psychic Hotline. Saturday, the party rumbles on at The Zombie Shop with another solidly sundry lineup that includes a super treatment of Heavy Cream, Cy Barkley and the Way Outsiders, Denney and the Jets, No Regrets Coyote and Breast Massage. Word from the label folks is that fans are flocking Nashville-ward from all corners of the country, so expect some fresh faces mixed in among the basement-show regulars.
