In our guide to the holidays we touted the gift that really keeps on giving: holiday presents that help those less fortunate in the Nashville community. Vanderbilt’s Sarratt Gallery Holiday Festival offers a neatly packaged way to multitask on good deeds while checking off your gift list. This show features the dazzlingly creative fused glassware of Dylan Engles, meticulously made books and journals by Jennifer McQuiston, along with jewelry, pottery, wooden utensils and a host of other interesting and useful objects. Embracing a range that includes fine arts and usable goods, the festival boasts a wide spectrum of merchandise and aids a worthy cause. Proceeds support the Umoja Bead project to assist female African refugees and the popular Thistle Farms outreach run by Magdalene House.
