Fall Guide 2011: Fashion

With fall comes change, and with change comes a change of clothes. The Scene asked five of Nashville's fashion bloggers, style hawks and couture curators to scour the city's shops and boutiques to gather and assemble the perfect fall looks, and then had them all meet up at Peter Nappi's gorgeous, sun-splashed Germantown store to share their inspirations for autumn.

On the Look: "I wanted to pair a timeless fall staple — this lovely plaid skirt by Alter Ego — with a beautiful 100-percent Habotai Silk hand-dyed crop top in camel made by fellow Local Honey phenoms Jamie and the Jones.

"Local Honey is such a uniquely special shop for the ever-growing Nashville fashion community. Shea Steele has assembled an army of highly skilled, creative designers — all based out of Nashville and each expressing his or her own personal sense of style in the beautiful clothing lines that they design: White Rabbit, T&P, People Like Art, Jamie and the Jones, Amy B, Love Simone, Alter Ego, Chaseash, Lladybird, Blooming Leopold, Acorn + Archer. A girl could go broke. Fast. Luckily, most of the pieces are actually pretty affordable. If you already have Valentine Valentine and Imogene + Willie represented in your closet and you want to find some amazing handmade pieces, I can't think of a better single source in all of Nashville.

"From a fall wardrobe standpoint, I am a huge believer in pairing modern handmade garments with gorgeous vintage shoes like these patent leather ankle boots from my favorite locally run Etsy shop, Granny's Bootery."
