Hey boss, we just want to give you the heads-up that we’re going to be a sloppy mess on Friday and will probably call in on Monday, too — this is an uncommonly good week for hip-hop in Nashville, and we plan on going hard in the party-paint. We’re kicking things off with Dom Kennedy, one of the leaders of the current West Coast revival and a dude who knows how to move a damn crowd. His last appearance in Nashville was a, um, blazing affair with a righteous vibe, and it will go down as one of the most fun hip-hop shows in recent memory. We can only assume this show will be more of the same. And with local Scene favorites Kaby, That Guy Soda and Ducko McFli opening up, there’s no question this show is going to get buck.
