Can you believe it's already been two years since Diarrhea Planet released their debut EP in repurposed Christian rock CD cases? Two years of spectral erections, party moves and guitar solos. Two years in which they lost a member (Evan P. Donohue), gained two (shred machines Evan Bird and Emmett Miller), and dropped that EP in every format available — minus 8-track (although you know they would've if they could've). Now signed to Infinity Cat, DP is finally releasing Loose Jewels, their first full-length record and an album that they recorded three times to get absolutely right. You wouldn't know it from their name, but Diarrhea Planet’s members have matured, not only as songwriters but as performers. However, though you might not hear “Ghost With a Boner” as often as you did in 2009, don't think they'll start pulling any punches in their shows any time soon.
