Essentially the CBGB of landmark singer-songwriter haunts, this tiny, no-introduction-necessary hole in the wall is where struggling and established songsmiths alike often woodshed and showcase future big hits for the first time. The cozy club/restaurant — which to the surprise of many is located in a Green Hills strip mall — was the central location in director Peter Bogdanovich’s 1993 cult favorite The Thing Called Love and is essentially a recurring character in the ABC series Nashville.
