The Scoop on GOOP: Paltrow Visits Nashville, Does Touristy Stuff, Likes It

Elegant celeb Gwyneth Paltrow's been living here the last few months while filming the movie Love Don't Let Me Down, a comeback tale of country stardom we told you about recently. While here, we know she rolled up on Mercy Lounge for some singin' and dancin'. We know she played a fake concert for filming purposes for her character Kelly Canter, and we know she showed up at the Station Inn that one time hangin' with Reese. But that's not all! She wrote about her time here on her famous (oft-mocked) blog/newsletter about nourished living, GOOP, and guess what she did while here?

Uh, you know, all the stuff tourists do? A quick skim shows Paltrow hit pretty much every tourist destination you could hope to see in Music City: The Ryman, Grand Ole Opry, Arnold's, Robert's, Loveless, And Prince's. And Swett's. It's cool that the meticulous, carefully maintained celeb was open to hot chicken and all the meat and threes that abound here: Paltrow was rumored to have given up her macrobiotic diet while living here, and who could blame her, because, to our knowledge, lard isn't one of the five elements in that list of approved foods.

"Never have I met such warm people, heard such good music, eaten so much fried chicken...I could go on and on," she writes. And next week, she promises to cover all the "other stuff" she did that wasn't food- or music-related. Stay tuned.
