Dee Goodz's 'The Parallel' Featured on Game of Thrones Mixtape; Hear 'Brooklyn Luv' [Fresh Tracks]

Nashville MC and current Brooklynite Dee Goodz has been quite busy lately. His upcoming debut LP, Family, Friends, Money, may not drop until later this year, but Dee’s been steadily releasing music in the meantime.

HBO and Game of Thrones released an official Game of Thrones hip-hop mixtape last week called Catch the Throne. The promotional mixtape is being used to generate hype for the upcoming fourth season of GOT, which premieres on April 6. The mixtape features Big Boi, Common, Wale, Daddy Yankee and none other than Dee Goodz, among others.

A Game of Thrones hip-hop mixtape is a zany idea, and you don’t have to be a hardcore fan like me to appreciate Big Boi and Daddy Yankee rapping about conquests and dragons and the Iron Throne. Be sure to check out Dee Goodz’s interesting interview with The Smoking Section about the making of the mixtape. (And make sure to catch up on the first three seasons by April 6!)

And while you’re at it, check out Dee’s other new single, “Brooklyn Luv.” Over the past couple of years, Brooklyn has become Dee Goodz’s second home, and with “Brooklyn Luv” he pays homage to his adopted city over a smooth, infectious beat. Tight. Hear the full Catch the Throne mixtape as well as "Brooklyn Luv" after the jump.
