KISS and Def Leppard to Play Bridgestone Arena July 16

Check it out! KISS and Def Leppard announced a co-headlining tour today, and this self-proclaimed (cue pick-slide) “summer's biggest hit-fueled rock tour” lands at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on July 16.

Maybe at some point while the two bands are bro-ing down together on the road, Def Leppard — the band that kept their drummer after he lost an arm — can teach Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley a thing or two about a loyalty. Those fan-gouging goons dress up impostors to look like Peter Criss and Ace Frehley and won’t perform with those founding members when the band is inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next month.

And maybe Paul Stanley can teach Joe Elliot a thing or two about stage banter …

And then maybe Joe Elliot can regale Stanley with stories of what it’s like to work with Mutt Lange.

Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. here. See The Spin's take on past Nashville performances from Def Leppard (here) and KISS (here and here).
