Tour de Fun Rides Again, This Time in Nashville

Fans of bicycles, house parties and participating in what can only be described as a “swarm” will be thrilled to hear that Tour de Fun — the Murfreesboro-founded combination-bike-tour-and-free-music-festival — is returning to prominence after taking 2013 off. Not only is TdF back and better than ever, but the festival has been moved from the 'Boro to the mean streets of East Nashville, where it will take place on April 12.

Spearheaded by professional partier Tyler Walker (aka Meth Dad), Tour de Fun turns 10 houses bars, record shops and green spaces between Riverside Village and Edgefield into music venues, showcasing three bands each to a turnout that has historically numbered in the hundreds. Once the bands are done, everyone picks up their bicycles and peddles off to the next joint, ending in what was formerly known as the East-Centric Pavillion (now Pavilion East) The Crying Wolf's parking lot for one sweaty after-party.

The lineup for the festival's inaugural Nashville edition was released via newcomer culture blog This City's Full and features familiar faces like Churchyard, Shy Guy, Bows & Arrows, Ben Spinks Supermelt, Treekeeper, Penicillin Baby, Coach, Jung Youth and the methy one himself. In addition to bands, the festival will feature food trucks and local beers.

Peep the full lineup after the jump. And wear a helmet, jeez.
