Blank Range threw us for our favorite kind of loop when we saw them for the first time six months ago, and we knew it wouldn’t be long before they caught on. Now they’re in rotation on Lightning 100, touring with Futurebirds and dropping a new alt-garage-country single, “Scrapin’” backed with “Before I Go to Sleep.” The tracks have all the weird grunginess we loved on their Phase II cassette, but this time the tempos are a little faster and the grooves a little more driving.

Blank Range perfectly complements psychedelic garage-dance combo Fly Golden Eagle, who have been trucking all over the country with Alabama Shakes and Dr. Dog. It’ll be great to have them back for a minute, maybe with news on a follow-up to 2011’s excellent Swagger. The New Lonely rounds out the bill.

Tonight's show at The Basement costs $5 and starts at 9 p.m.
