* Last we saw Caitlin Rose, she was covering The National's "Pink Rabbits." She's since returned from a string of dates across the pond, and among those dates was a performance at the End of the Road Festival at Larmer Tree Gardens in Dorset. While there, Rose and a couple of her bandmates performed a stripped-down version of "Waitin'" for the folks at The Line of Best Fit (purchase the "Waitin'" single here). The performance was shot at nightfall with no lighting, so there's quite literally not a lot to see. But Rose & Co. sound great, which is the point, after all. Watch that above.
* Ever been to local DIY venue The Owl Farm? Ever seen local garage-rocking ne'er-do-wells Faux Ferocious? If you answered "no" to either of those questions — or hell, even if you didn't — you can watch a video of the latter performing at the former after the jump. Schuyler Howie directed the video, which features the Ferocians shredding away at a pair of mean, urgent and sloppily irreverent tunes — "Beating in My Head" and "Viscous Grin," to be precise. Good stuff. Watch that after the jump.
* The Spin recently caught semi-local alt-rockers Cage the Elephant unveiling tunes from their forthcoming Melophobia at Nashville's own Soundcheck rehearsal spaces. Well, if you're itching for another taste, CtE just posted an album teaser featuring studio footage. Peep that one after the jump as well.
* And speaking of studio footage, you've already heard Those Darlins' "Oh God" from their forthcoming Blur the Line (out Oct. 1), but for a little clip of frontwoman Jessi "Zazu" Wariner performing the vocal take from "Oh God," skip on after the jump.
