Mike Rosenberg, aka Passenger, got his start in the Brit-pop band of the same name, which he kept when the rest of the group split in 2009. The good-natured indie-folk-pop ruffian has toured diligently to grow the audience for his third solo record, All the Little Lights, beyond parts of the world where people call the last letter of the alphabet "zed." One recent tour stint saw Rosenberg supporting BRIT Award-winning singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran, who's currently touring with Taylor Swift (the two had a duet on Red, with an entirely too-cute video in the bargain).
To return Rosenberg's favor, or perhaps to do a little prep for his three-night stand with the Sweez at Bridgestone Arena Sept. 19-21, Sheeran joined Passenger for the encore to his sold-out, standing-room-only solo set at Mercy Lounge last night. See the two of them take on "My Heart's on Fire" above, with help from tourmate and tour manager Stu Larsen, and catch the pair riffing on Blackstreet's "No Diggity" after the jump.
