Meet Rayland Baxter in Comical Fashion, Watch Him Perform 'Ghost, Again,' Get His ashkeLon EP

Close followers of the local scene won't need an introduction to Rayland Baxter — the Americana/folk/blues songster, second-generation local performer and fan of wonky title stylization released his feathers & fishHooks via ATO Records about one year ago. But those who don't know Baxter should have a look above, where they'll find a David Ogle-directed promo video titled "Who Is Rayland Baxter?" British pedal-steel virtuoso and local transplant Spencer Cullum Jr. serves as host and, naturally, steals the show, walking us through an introduction to the fella, the geezer, the lemon-squeezer himself. So, let's have a look inside Baxter's closet while Cullum calls us all poppets.

All this fanfare is in support of Baxter's brand-new live EP, ashkeLon, which is out today via ATO. You can see Baxter performing ashkeLon's "Ghost, Again" after the jump in a video that was also directed by David Ogle. The EP is now available for purchase via iTunes.
