Last summer, local country-edged roots rockers The Lonely H were seeking funds to complete and release their fourth long-player. Well, they hit their goal and then some, and their eponymous record is out now. One of The Lonely H's tracks is the lovesick, mid-tempo, steel-adorned ballad "Waiting on a Broken Heart," for which the H boys have just released a video. The Ryan Kendrick-directed clip, which you can see above, features frontman and blue-eyed Nordic prince Mark Fredson as an appropriately sentimental fix-it man, piecing together broken dreams while aided by his conspicuously nice-looking secretary, portrayed by songstress Caitlin Rose.
If you're itching to hear more of The Lonely H's retro-rooted bar-rock grooves, you can stream "Riding the Clutch" below, and "Love Her Anyways" below that — "Clutch" features legendary saxman Bobby Keys blowing away on a mean solo, so you'd probably better get into it. The Lonely H will play a release show at The 5 Spot on July 12, and we'll have more on that in the coming week or two. Dive in.
