No, that’s not Reese Witherspoon’s mug shot. The sad, sad face you see to the left is that of probably-soon-to-be-former 3 Doors Down bassist Robert Todd Harrell. The 41-year-old probably-soon-to-be-Tennessee-state-prison-inmate and “musician,” of Mt. Juliet, has been charged with vehicular homicide by intoxication for the death of 47-year-old Nashvillian Paul Shoulders Jr.

Shoulders was killed late Friday night when, according to police, Harrell, speeding westbound down I-40 in a 2011 Cadillac CTS, clipped the back of Shoulders' Ford F-150, ejecting him. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

3 Doors Down expressed its condolences in a post on their official site reading, "We are deeply saddened by the passing of Paul Howard Shoulders, Jr. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family and friends at this difficult time."

Harrell admitted to having consumed a mix of prescription Lortab, Xanax and hard cider, and was arrested in possession of eight Xanax pills, 24 Oxycodone pills and four Oxymorphone pills, concealed in his sock. Sounds like a real winner.

According to the Associated Press, as of yesterday morning Harrell is being held at Davidson County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bond. So, if you’ve ever wanted to meet a member of 3 Doors Down …

Update: 3 Doors Down have now canceled four of their upcoming tour dates, including their scheduled May 4 appearance at Nashville's War Memorial Auditorium. Our sister publication City Paper (via Associated Press) has further details.
