From the Department of Freshly Inked Record Deals: As you may have observed, Third Man Records doesn’t typically “sign” artists; dropping one-off releases (that typically aren’t full-length studio LPs) is more their speed. But not when it comes to retro-roots folkie Pokey LaFarge, with whom TMR today announced a “new partnership.”

Jack White’s vinyl-venerating off-Music Row boutique label will release the shit out of LaFarge's forthcoming self-titled LP (which boasts production courtesy of Old Crow Medicine Show frontman Ketch Secor) in June.

To mark the occasion, TMR will, Bill and Ted-style, procure and transport the dapper, pomade-slathered singer via time machine into its Blue Room for a release show/direct-to-acetate live recording session on June 1.
