Bummer news for Middle Tennessean Little Monsters: Pop megastar Stefani Joanne Angelina "Lady Gaga" Germanotta has canceled her March 10 appearance at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena, along with all the other remaining stops on her Born This Way Ball Tour. According to an official announcement and a post on her Little Monsters fan site, the cancellations are due to a "labral tear" in the Gagster's right hip. The announcment:

Live Nation Global Touring has confirmed that the remainder of the Lady Gaga Born This Way Ball performances have been cancelled.
After additional tests this morning to review the severity of the issue, it has been determined that Lady Gaga has a labral tear of the right hip. She will need surgery to repair the problem, followed by strict down time to recover. This unfortunately, will force her to cancel the tour, so she can heal.

Refunds for the cancelled performances will be available at point of purchase starting Feb 14, 2013.

The tear — which sounds awful and causes "groin pain," according to this description — "is usually an acute injury as a result of a sports injury, fall, or accident." Definitely sounds like Gaga wasn't simply born that way (ugh, sorry), but rather she sustained the injury dancing. MTV reports that Lady Gaga is apologetic and that Little Monsters are already making "Get Well" and Valentine's Day-themed fan art.

First Morrissey, now Gaga?! Bummer.
