I don't know about you, but my eyes glazed over long ago when the first of the "thanks for a great 2012!" emails started pouring in. So when I saw this post over on the Infinity Cat website — "Happy 2013. Thanks for the Best 2012" — I wasn't expecting much. Sure, British candy is nice, send us pics of your "Infinity Cattoos," and so on.

But then there was the buried lede: "2013 is going to be amazing. We plan to open our retail store here in Nashville so y’all can visit!" An email inquiry to ICR's Bob Orrall got this response:

We've wanted to do this for years and hope we can make it happen.
We'd have a retail store in the front room at IC, limited hours and also by appt.
We'd have all our stuff including t-shirts etc, posters, rarities and all that.
Hope to have it up and running by summer!

Well, hot damn! No word yet on whether there'll be a mechanical cat band or anything of that sort. Also tangled up with that very promising development came mentions of a new Heavy Cream video, a SKIMASK album, a Diarrhea Planet LP and a JEFF the Brotherhood 7-inch box set with a "full color book all about how those records came to be." We'll let you know when we hear anything more.
