Cheap Time Appears in Video Portrait; Third Man Announces Trio of New Releases From Jack White, Black Lips and Cheap Time

Here’s a little something to get you into the Halloween spirit. Brooklyn-based photographer and filmmaker Jackie Roman (who you may or may not remember shot an awesome spread for the Scene’s Bruise Cruise cover story back in February) cut together the above clip capturing periodically local psych-rockin’ garage-punkers Cheap Time playing with pumpkins and acting generally creepy, in a good way. The short film is set to the heady guitar solo from “Underneath the Fruitflies,” a track from the band’s latest awesome LP, Wallpaper Music.

Can’t get enough Cheap Time? Well then click on over to Third Man Records official site to order the band’s Live at Third Man Records 7-inch, which the label announced today. That release, along with The Black Lips’ Live at Third Man 12-inch, is also available on iTunes. And yesterday, Third Man put up a pre-order link for the 7-inch version of label head Jack White’s latest single “I’m Shakin'” (revisit the music video). That hot wax boasts an exclusive not-found-on-Blunderbuss B-side called “Blues on Two Trees.”
