Isn't it ironic, doncha think, that Alanis Morissette is slated to play the Mother Church on Oct. 26?* This fall, the Queen of '90s Angst will tour in support of her forthcoming effort Havoc and Bright Lights — which a blurb on the Ryman's site describes as revealing a "softer and more vulnerable side" of the Canadian songstress — and among her dates is an Oct. 26 appearance here in Music City. Will she finally admit that, as we all suspect, "You Oughta Know" was penned about fellow Canuck Sir Dave Coulier? Will Morissette's voice go down like honey, or like a jagged little pill? While watching the show, will your girlfriend go down on you in the theat-uhr?
Tickets go on sale via this link beginning this Friday, Aug. 17, at 10 a.m. And because you know they're all going to be stuck in your head anyhow, watch the videos for "You Oughta Know," "Ironic" and "Hand in My Pocket" after the jump. Man. I'm really in the mood to watch Pop Up Video all the sudden.
* No. Like all of the vignettes presented in Ms. Morissette's "Ironic," this fact is pretty much not ironic in any way.
