The victim reportedly refused, and the assailant shot him in the neck. The victim's injuries were not life-threatening, and he had this to say on his Facebook page:

last night, i was carjacked. the gunman shot me in the neck and the bullet came very close to the spine. miraculously, i walked away with only a sore neck and some muscle damage in my back. I REALLY, REALLY believe that God was looking out for me last night. I was THIS close to being paralyzed or worse. It IS a miracle. I am thankful for God's prescence during this ordeal. Now, I am at home with my family resting and listening to music....always a good therapy : ) Thanks for the kind phone calls, text messages, and facebook messages. Everything is fine.
