Weekend Round-Up: Army of Darkness Style

First up, no Crofton Show this week. They'll be back soon.

If I'd really been thinking clearly, I would have made last week's round-up style Father's Day-related and saved Golden Summer Style for this week — especially considering the fact that the heat index (on my personal scale) has gone from "Pretty Damn ... " to " ... As Balls" in a week's time. Nevertheless, today is Bruce Campbell's birthday, and that sounds solid to me. Happy birthday, Bruce Campbell.

On to this weekend's goodness, and it appears as though we've got a pretty promising one on our hands. Tonight you're looking at Yeasayer at Cannery, The Protomen's A Night of Queen release at Exit/In, a Levon tribute at Family Wash, the Fringe Fest kicking off at Mad Donna's, Stix Izza at 12th & Porter and plenty more. Tomorrow you've got Tenacious D at The Ryman, Chesney and McGraw at LP Field, Dan Sartain at The End, The Boom Bap with DJ Scratch at The 5 Spot, The Right Now with Sky Hi and The Greater Good at The High Watt and plenty more. There's even some good stuff on Sunday, what with Norah Jones and The Paperhead and Paper Route. Have a look to see the rest — compiled by music listings editor Adam "Ash" Gold — after the jump. Let us know what we missed, and have yourselves a brutal one.
