Hear New Tunes From Sex Cult, Ttotals and Quichenight [Fresh Tracks]

* We mentioned that Memphis' lo-fi punk outfit Sex Cult were playing a release show last Saturday, Feb. 18, for their "Plain Jane" 7-inch. According to sources, that single will be available for purchase via Nashville's Dead Records tomorrow, but you can already stream or download "Plain Jane" via ND. If you like, say, the Pistols and Jay Reatard, then I recommend grabbing it:

* Last we heard from lo-fi, garage-y, power-poppy East Sider Brett Rosenberg and his Quichenight, he was releasing A Very Quichey Christmas. With the holidays now disappearing in our rear-view, Quichenight is back at the drawing board, with some fresh demos posted at the QN Soundcloud page. "The Greenway" (East Nashville reference!) and "Infinity Bends" are especially fresh, and you can listen to the former below. It's like if a dude with Southern rock riffs, Big Star aspirations and Guided by Voices production recorded a song!

* And finally, psychedelic experimental-rock duo Ttotals also have a pretty fresh tune for us to peep. They'll be releasing a 10-inch in the coming months, and they've posted a little taste by the name of "Special A" on the Ttotals Soundcloud page. It was recorded by Tate Eskew, and if you think you might like the neo-psych of Spacemen 3 with an ambient, post-rock sort of kick to it, then, by golly, I'll bet you're going to enjoy "Special A." Hear it here.
