So what else is up with this thing? Well, there will be multiple stages, and in addition to tunes, there will be eats from food trucks, and "camping is encouraged." (No RVs permitted.) I put in an email to the Nashty folks last week, but haven't heard back. Thus, we'll just have to let the words of fest organizer David Lee (via Nashty's website) do the talking:
The Big Nashty seeks to serve local Nashville acts by connecting them with music business contacts and expanding their local fan base. We do this by seeking out a variety of talent in Nashville that represents the people and the scene best, and putting on one kickass day of music. We are friends trying to help friends.
OK. I dig it. Tickets for all ages are $10 in advance and $20 day of. Buy those here, and have a look at the fest's Facebook event page, if you like. If said event page is to be believed, there will be waffles, face-painting, fireworks and a moon-bounce, too. Dude, my grandparents are going to be so psyched.
