* The good folks of American Songwriter were at Bonnaroo. I know that because I kept running into 'em. (Also, I'd like to take this opportunity to challenge the staff of AS to a drinking contest. I think the Cream Teamers could take 'em.) Anyhow, they shot and posted the above mini-doc while taming that nasty 'Roo this year. It's called Myth, Legend, Dust: The 2011 Bonnaroo Documentary, and it features interviews and performances from locals including Tristen, Apache Relay and Kopecky Family Band. There are some other folks in there, as well — Ryan Bingham and Futurebirds among them.
* Marty Stuart and his Fabulous Superlatives were on Letterman last night. They played "Country Boy Rock & Roll" (just what it sounds like), Letterman called "Studio B" "Studio 8" by mistake, and Kenny Vaughan's hat poked Marty in the face. Also, Stuart's 30-minute doc, Marty Stuart in Philadelphia, MS is currently streaming on Hulu. Go check that out. [That last bit is via The Tennessean, bless their hearts. We're thinking of you, our fellow scribes.]
