In Case You Missed It: Hole Show Moved to Cannery, June 29

We told you Courtney Love & Co. are playing The Ryman June 29 — actually, D. Patty told you, mid-cringe — but it turns out that, due to "scheduling conflicts," that show has been moved to the Cannery. So if you were one of the people like Pattycakes who felt that Hole playing the Ryman was some kind of weird cruel joke on people with actual taste, then the universe has affirmed your views.

Says The Ryman's website:

Change of venue notice: Hole with Foxy Shazam. Due to scheduling conflicts, Hole’s show at Ryman Auditorium on June 29 has been moved to the Cannery Ballroom. All tickets are now general admission and all previously purchased tickets will be honored at the new venue. Special arrangements for front of stage access will be made for those who purchased the $45 tickets.

It's not 100% clear whether the scheduling conflict was due to Hole or The Ryman. But once, back in like, 1995, me and some friends drove to Memphis to see Hole and Veruca Salt at the Omni New Daisy. At the last minute, an announcer came onstage and said Hole had to cancel the show due to illness, to which a disgruntled crowd member yelled, "Junkie bitch!" Just sayin'.

[Editor's Note: We did, in fact, mention the show's move in a Newsy Bits post yesterday. Because Cannery's capacity is about 1,100 and the Ryman's is about 2,500, at least 1,400 people probably don't care. But this is for the last thousand of you who might.]
