As life returns to normal here in Music City, eight local acts are preparing themselves to scrum for victory at next Monday's fourth and final installment of the 2010 Road to Bonnaroo competition at Mercy Lounge. Among the battle-ready bands are Space Capone, Pico vs. Island Trees, Heartbeater, My Tyger, And the Relatives, Cassino, Delta Saints and last but certainly not least, Cheer Up Charlie Daniels. In an attempt to rally their base in viral fashion, CUCD have produced the promo clip above. Sounds like they've brought in the big guns, and drafted Protomen lead singer Panther to contribute lead vocals on this sonic fatwa. Check out the video above — it's filled with moving images that convey the seriousness of the competition and urgency of CUCD's plight — and check out the lyrics after the jump, they're pretty dire as well. Road to Bonnaroo concludes Monday night at Mercy Lounge. It's free.

Of the Road to Bonnaroo.
One shall stand victorious.
The rest of them will lose.

The papers have been filed
For this historic event.
One shall stand victorious.
While the rest of them get bent.

And when the smoke clears the victorious will stand.
Perched over bodies, lying dead in Nashville sands.
Were gonna win this epic Battle of the Bands.

On May Seventeenth.
Save the date in your iCal.
For justice there's a thirst.
There's no chance of being pals.

And when the smoke clears the victorious will stand.
Perched over bodies, lying dead in Nashville sands.
Were gonna win this epic Battle of the Bands.
