There are few feelings worse than being embarrassed for other people, and Billy Corgan has been an uncomfortable goldmine for more than a decade. I full-on looooved this dude when I was a junior highschooler suffering from quite the case of No-One-Understands-Me-itis, and Billy and I became fast friends. In my head. Of course, as is the way of most adolescent friendships, we drifted apart. One of us grew up. One of us took to wearing leather dresses and hanging out with Tila Tequila.

When I found out the angsty human salamander started a blog about his faith, I was already cringing before I even opened the link. It's gotta be the three worst things combined, right? (Those three things being arrested development, vague spirituality, and unchecked ego.)

In discussing Mind-Body-Soul integration within the context of holistic Truth, many topics will be explored here that may be new to you. Like any good tree that one would hope to grow, we must set our roots deep into the ground so that what is real will prosper in the Light of Love.

Ugh, Billy. Ugh. Intuition confirmed.

As far as I can tell, the blog is about God and Walt Disney (no, seriously) and full of Unnecessary Capitalization. At least I was able to nail why this makes me feel so bad: It's like some bullshit I would have said when I was 13. The only thing worse than being embarrassed for other people is being embarrassed for yourself.

Who is it for you? What musican/band/pop icon did you recklessly love and have to leave behind? Bonus points for the most embarrassing answer (did I already win?), negative points for saying Stuart Murdoch.
