Music biz press releases are often ridiculously over-hyped word porn meant to make you salivate in a pool of self-referential genius. But sometimes, they leave all the hoopla aside and just give it to you straight. Take this headline I stumbled across--"Barefoot Justice Leaves Impression on Downtown Nashville Audiences"--that made no attempt to wow me with hyperbolic B.S. Instead, it kept things real vague--vague enough to make me read it. So I decided to continue its author's game of wordplay and go all reverse-Mad-Libs on it, by taking out any band-related adjectives from the body of the release to match the original headline:

Barefoot Justice Leaves Impression On Downtown Nashville Audiences

Country-rock trio Barefoot Justice continue to play their weekly shows at legendary downtown Nashville honky-tonk The Second Fiddle.

"These guys always get some response from our patrons," says Kent Williams, manager of The Second Fiddle.

"Since they've started playing regularly here at the club, they've really gained a reputation as a band on Broadway. We feel something to have them here each week."

The downtown act recently completed work in May on their self-titled debut album, produced by veteran Nashville producer Mark Moffatt.

"These are three singers I've worked with," says producer Moffatt. "The music business is gravitating back towards live performance and these guys have been playing."

Barefoot Justice will return to their residency at The Second Fiddle on July 22. Their schedule includes shows every Wednesday (2 p.m. - 6 p.m.), Thursday (10 a.m. - 2 p.m.) and Friday (6 p.m. - 10 p.m.) as their regional touring schedule allows. They are currently booking dates throughout the Southeast for the remainder of the summer and fall.

Their debut album, Barefoot Justice, is currently available at the band's live shows. It will also be available at www.myspace.com/BarefootJustice and on iTunes in the coming weeks. For more information, visit www.BarefootJustice.com. Exact show times can be found at www.TheSecondFiddle.com.
