In a couple weeks, we here at the Cream will be celebrating our two-year anniversary. Birthdays always get me thinking about the past, the way things used to be, how much they've changed, blah, blah, blah.
So, I thought I would take us on a little trip down memory lane to late summer 2006. What was life like in that strange Mattoid-filled time? Let's find out.
We had our very first run-in with message board ire when we dissed Avenged Sevenfold.
Steve Haruch was really into the Snowden song "Anti-Anti." (Who wasn't?) They played The Basement, no one showed up, and they haven't been seen round these parts since.
Um, Chris Slack.
A little band called Bang Bang Bang signed with Warner Brothers.
De Novo Dahl may or may not have joined Movement Nashville, making people mad. (Can you believe that's what passed for a minor shitstorm back then?)
Be Your Own Pet were still together. We blogged about them, but people didn't hate it nearly as much.
Stay tuned for more.
