Mark Your Calendars: Model Behavior on Oct. 12

Nothing is as fashionable as giving back, and our sister pub, Nfocus magazine, is celebrating Nashville's beautiful philanthropists at the upcoming Model Behavior event. Model Behavior will be held on Friday, Oct. 12, at the Noah Liff Opera Center.

Speaking of beautiful people, Nfocus has partnered Project Runway winner Christian Siriano, who will preview pieces from his Spring 2013 collection (which is showing at NY Fashion Week this week). Siriano, who won the Runway's fourth season, is no stranger to Nashville; he showed his collection at the inaugural Nashville Fashion Week in 2011.

The event celebrates 10 area nonprofits, each represented by a different woman in our community. This isn't just a fashion show with a philanthropic edge, people — this is a competition, and you get to have a hand in who takes home the gold. When you purchase your ticket to Model Behavior, you credit your ticket purchase to one of the nonprofits, and the group that receives the most support receives a generous donation from Nfocus.

The women and the nonprofits they represent were recently photographed by Brad Rankin at the Frist. These beautiful photos are featured in the current issue of Nfocus:
