The NFM at Vanderbilt Market will be take place 3 to 6 p.m. every Thursday through Oct. 30 on the plaza, located at 2211 Garland Ave. It's a producers-only market that welcomes local and regional farmers and artisans.
According to a Nashville Farmers' Market announcement today, the lineup set for Vanderbilt tomorrow includes Bells Bend Farms and Walnut Hills Farm, which will also have CSA (Community-Supported Agriculture) opportunities, plus JD Country Milk, Smiley's Farm, Hummus Chick, Lucky Farms, The Peach Truck, Nature's Promise Farm, Tuckers Nut Butters, Howell's Farm, Provence Breads, Her Flowers and more.
"I believe that the Nashville Farmers' Market and the neighborhood markets throughout our community offer Nashvillians and surrounding counties a unique opportunity to get to know their local farmers and enjoy shopping in their neighborhood or close to work," says Tasha Kennard, the new executive director of the Nashville Farmers' Market. In September, Mayor Karl Dean announced her appointment to run the city's main market, which operates year-round at 900 Rosa L. Parks Blvd., just north of downtown.
In today's release, the Nashville Farmers' Market board and management also invite the community to celebrate the season at NFM's neighborhood market at Richland Park on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon; and at this month's Night Market at the main market downtown, set for 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 20.
