Tickets Now on Sale for the Annual Nourish Dinner

One of my favorite culinary events of the year is the Nourish dinner, a benefit event for The Nashville Food Project. The NFP utilizes their own gardens, kitchens and food trucks plus donated food to create healthy meals that they distribute to the underserved members of the Middle Tennessee community.

This year's Nourish dinner will be held at 6 p.m. June 17 at the Nashville Farmers' Market, and will feature a five-course meal prepared by award-winning local and visiting chefs. 2014's roster of chefs is impressive: David Carrier (The Cloister, Sea Island, Ga.), Levon Wallace (Proof on Main, Louisville, Ky.), Margot McCormack (Margot Café, Marché), Charles Phillips (1808 Grille), Rebekah Turshen (City House), and Laura Wilson (Nashville Farmers' Market). The dinner will also feature a signature cocktail crafted by a local mixologist, as well as wine pairings selected for each course.

Tickets to the dinner are $200 per person and are now available at the event website. They are also offering a patron level of support at $1,000 for two people. In addition to two tickets to the Nourish event, patrons get to attend an exclusive party at The Bluebird Cafe on Wednesday, May 21, where guests will enjoy a cocktail supper prepared by Nashville Food Project staff and an “In-The-Round” concert by Thom Schuyler, Fred Knobloch, Don Schlitz, Don Henry and Jellyroll Johnson. These songwriters will be performing the hit songs they’ve composed (The Gambler, 16th Avenue, All Kinds of Kinds, If My Heart Had Wings) and share some funny stories with listeners.

Act quickly, because this event always sells out!
