Encouraged by the big crowds, they’ve decided to reprise the event sooner rather than later. Next week, in fact, on Tuesday, Oct. 30 from 5 to 7 p.m., when New Belgium Brewing and Kenny’s Farmhouse Cheese will be offering free samples to anyone (of age) who asks. Advance registration is not required, so drop on by. The specifics are below:
Sarah Brann with New Belgium will be offering samples of Snow Day, the seasonal variety that will be released in November. Additional beers to be sampled include 1554, Fat Tire, and Shift. The Turnip Truck will sell six-packs of each of these beer selections at a discounted price during the tasting event.
Brann will offer information about the various brewing methods and flavors, as well as food pairing suggestions for each beer. Information about New Belgium’s “The Glass That Gives” charity outreach program will be available. During November and December, those who purchase a total of a case of beer (any combination of 24 beers) are eligible to receive a free set of New Belgium globe glasses, and may choose a charity to receive a $1 donation to a charity of choice. Jennifer Starks with Kenny’s Farmhouse Cheese, based in Kentucky, will offer samples of their natural cheeses, including Block O'Joe, a coffee-infused cheddar, Barren County Bleu, Gouda, and Aged Cheddar.
