Taste the World of Wine to Help TFLI

Head to the W.O. Smith School on Friday, Nov. 2, at 5:30 p.m. for the 14th annual "Taste of the World" International Wine and Food Tasting to benefit the Tennessee Foreign Language Institute.

(Its mission: TFLI "strives to facilitate intercultural communication through the provision of quality language instruction, translation and interpretation services, professional development for interpreters, translators and language instructors, and cultural awareness programs, which are designed to meet the needs of the state government and its employees, the business community, foreign language educators, and the public at large.")

This event is always one of the favorites on the Nashville tasting calendar and features more than 100 international wines paired with food along with music.

Recently crowned "BON-Best Restaurant" F. Scott's will handle the catering along with their cousins at Table 3, and West End Discount Liquors and Wines will provide the libations.

Connoisseur ticket (general admission), $75 in advance, $100 at the door

Ambassador ticket, $150, which includes:
