Best of Nashville 2011: Culinary Heroes and ’Villians

Not quite as fast as a speeding bullet — just ask anyone who's spent the last few weeks helping put it together — but our annual Best of Nashville hits the racks today. (One possible cause for its less-than-zippy gait: It happens to be the longest, heftiest volume of the Scene ever printed.) Of particular interest to Bites readers: this year's Best-of features our picksand yours — for the city's best edibles and libations.

Spanning the culinary spectrum from the grand — including institutions like Capitol Grille and City House — to the inconspicuous — tucked-away coffeehouse The Jam, a hot dog cart at Home Depot — and getting take-out from food trucks and hole-in-the-walls citywide, this year's Food & Beverage BONs tip generously.

Of course, we welcome your comments, Bitesters. As frequent commenter Lesley has already pointed out, the new menu at PM — readers' poll winner for "Best Chinese" — is, uh, rather short on Chinese food. Hey, they did serve moo shu chicken at the party last night. ... In the meantime, click right this way to be seated at our Writers' Choice picks, or belly up to this year's Readers' Choice poll winners.
