Even though our resident cheftestant representative Arnold Myint didn't make the final cut, (a little birdie whispers that he has other irons in the fire anyway), Nashvillians who got hooked on competitive cooking shows either before or during Arnold's stint on Top Chef are looking forward to the latest installment, Top Chef All-Stars, which premieres tomorrow night, Wednesday, Dec. 1, at 9 p.m. on Bravo.

Drawing from seven seasons of past losers, err...non-winners, the cast looks to be quite talented with the potential for some good nasty interpersonal fireworks.

If you're looking for local connections, Antonia Lofaso (from Season 4)
visited our fair burg last spring as part of a national Top Chef tour
where she and Ryan "Poached Pears at a Tailgater?!" Scott put on an entertaining cooking demo in front of The Belcourt Theatre.

More likely to stir local interest is the fact that Chef Carla Hall was born here and graduated from Hillsboro High School. Plus she kicks ass, so I guess you can tell who I'll be rooting for.

Here's the list:

Top Chef All-Stars

Elia Aboumrad; Season 2, final four
Stephen Asprinio; Season 1, top five
Richard Blais; Season 4 finalist
Jennifer Carroll; Season 6, final four
Tiffany Derry; Season 7, top five
Tiffani Faison; Season 1 finalist
Carla Hall; Season 5 finalist
Mike Isabella; Season 6, top seven
Jamie Lauren; Season 5, top seven
Dale Levitski; Season 3 finalist
Antonia Lofaso; Season 4, final four
Spike Mendelsohn; Season 4, top five
Angelo Sosa; Season 7 finalist
Dale Talde; Season 4, top six
Casey Thompson; Season 3 finalist and Fan Favorite
Marcel Vigneron; Season 2 finalist
Fabio Viviani; Season 5, final four and Fan Favorite
Tre Wilcox; Season 3, top eight

So what are you looking forward to? Marcel and Richard Blais fighting over the hair gel? Tre and Michael scrapping over alpha-male status? Fabio's hilariously fractured accented English? Tiffany and Tifani arguing about the correct way to misspell their names? Whether Tony Bourdain and Tom Colicchio will throw Spike out the window and stuff Stephen into his sous-vide machine?

Most importantly, who do you think will win? Put your guesses here in the comments so we'll have them to check against at the end of the season. I'll put my money on Angelo if he can stay healthy.
