This trip Guy's pulling in for a world of flavor. In Falls Church, Virginia, a South American joint attached to a motel where the Venezuelan sandwich comes loaded with shredded beef, black beans and cheese, or chicken salad. In Nashville, Tennessee, an Italian place where the chef and his wife compete to roll the thinnest fettuccini, then serve it up with home made vodka sauce. And in Sherman Oaks, California, some hard-core Triple-D fans show Guy their favorite spot for real deal German bratwurst.
Yes, folks, tonight you'll get to see the epic summit meeting of Guy Fieri and Corrado Savarino, as the Savarino's episode of D3 airs tonight on the Food Network at 9 p.m. We were there for the filming, and frankly, we have no clue what to expect — watching Fieri try to pry answers out of the taciturn Corrado was like watching Penn interview Teller. We can only hope the "Who's on First?" routine survives where Fieri tries to get the increasingly flustered proprietor to explain why he doesn't name sandwiches after women.
